Multi-Day passes can be used at Queenstown's two mountains Coronet Peak and The Remarkables and do not need to be used consecutively, however all days must be used within 12 days of the first day of use. Our 5 or 6 Day Multi-Day passes also include 1 Free Night Ski pass that can be used at Coronet Peak in Queenstown between 4pm and 9pm any Wednesday or Friday night in July or August, subject to conditions.

FAQs

2020 Winter Season Details

As with everyone else our operations will look a little different this year to make sure we keep our visitors and staff safe. We will keep you informed with more details closer to the season, but a few things you can expect to see at Level 2:
  • Physical distancing across the ski areas including queues, transport and in cafes
  • Increased and enhanced cleaning protocols, especially in high traffic areas
  • Food & Beverage outlets following Ministry of Health guidelines for Level 2 operations
  • Receive 10% off when you book day passes and lessons online

Coronet Peak Opens Friday 26 June

  • Open 7 days a week
  • First Tracks from 8-9am daily from 6 July - 13 September
  • Night Ski on Wednesday & Friday nights from 1 July - 28 August
  • Scheduled Closing Date is Sunday 27 September

The Remarkables Opens Saturday 4 July

  • Open daily during July school holidays, 4 - 19 July
  • Then open Saturday & Sunday, with potential for extra days to be added during the season
  • New Sugar Bowl Chairlift on track for early July opening
  • Scheduled Closing Date is Sunday 27 September

Mt Hutt Opens Friday 12 June

  • NEW Mid-Week Season Pass available
  • Open the best 5 weather days each week and will include the weekend
  • Potential for extra days to be added during the season if conditions and demand permit.
  • Weekend First Tracks from 8-9am starting 4 July
  • Scheduled Closing Date is Sunday 11 October

What's Included in the 3 Peak Pass

The 3 Peak season pass gives you unlimited skiing and snowboarding at Coronet Peak (including FREE Night Ski on Wednesday and Friday nights in July and August), The Remarkables and Canterbury's Mt Hutt ski areas. See below for pass details.

Your 2020 3 Peak Pass includes all of these benefits:

  • 3 Peak Pass holders receive 50% off single day passes at all Mountain Collective resorts for the 2020/2021 ski season.
  • 20% off standard lift pass prices at Ohau Ski Field for 2020.
  • 10% discount at the Snow Shop retail outlets on mountain (offer does not apply to sale items or other special offers)
  • 10% discount at the ski repair workshop on mountain.
  • If you purchase a 3 Peak Season Pass during the 2020 Earlybird sale you are entitled to a discounted 2 hour or 3 hour private lesson at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables in Queenstown. 2 Hour Private Lessons are available for $299 and 3 Hour Private Lessons are available for $399. This discount is only available to those who purchase a 3 Peak Pass during the 2020 Earlybird sale, and is a separate offer from any other promotion(s).
  • 2019 and 2020 Season Pass holders can ski for free at the Kiroro Ski Resort for the duration of their stay if they are staying at the Kiroro Ski Resort.
  • Pass Protection costs an additional $40 and can be added to your 3 Peak Pass at the time of purchase. Terms and conditions apply. 

 

Age Definition

Age is as of 1st June 2020. All lift users require a MyPass card. Photographic ID will be required.

  • Youth is 6 – 17yrs inclusive. If currently attending high-school and 18 years, a Student Pass applies.
  • 5yrs and under ski or ride for free at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables.
  • 10yrs and under ski or ride free at Mt Hutt.
  • Student is 18+yrs enrolled full time (minimum 32 weeks in a calendar year) with a New Zealand or Australian tertiary institution. Student ID & proof of full time status (letter from institution) is required. ID card must be in English & include a valid expiry date. ISIC cards are not accepted.
  • Senior is 65–74yrs of age. Photo ID will be required.
  • Guests 75yrs of age or older, on day of purchase, ski for free. Please collect a complimentary lift pass from the ticket office. Photo ID will be required.

Pass Protection

Pass Protection costs $40 and can be added to your 3 Peak Pass purchase. Pass protection is your injury/medical cover and provides for full or partial refund of the season pass where an injury or medical condition, or travel ban imposed by regulatory bodies, precludes or significantly limits ability to use the pass throughout the entire season.

Refund applications for injury or medical reasons must be made by completing the NZSki season pass refund form available from any of our guest services team. The form must be supported with a doctor's certificate or other evidence acceptable to NZSki. NZSki reserves the right to obtain independent medical advice to validate any claim. The value of refunds will be calculated based on the use of the pass according to the table below and in conjunction with the following expiry dates. There will be no refunds after 6 weeks from the pass holders first day of pass use. There will be no refunds after 31 August of each season. Refunds extend to the value of the pass type purchased only and do not cover any ancillary or other associated costs. The pass protection add-on is regarded as an ancillary cost. Refunds will be made to the credit card used to purchase the pass and the pass will be cancelled.

First Tracks Add-On

The corduroy is calling!

A Coronet Peak First Tracks season pass can be added on to your 3 Peak Season pass for access to the Coronet Express from 8am - 9am daily from late June / early July through late in the season.

A Mt Hutt First Tracks season pass can be added on to your 3 Peak Pass or Mt Hutt season Pass, but is a separate product to the Coronet Peak First Tracks product. Mt Hutt First Tracks gives you access to from 8am - 9am on Saturdays and Sundays from late June through to late in the season.

The operation of First Tracks is subject to the availability and operation of the lifts and to snow and weather conditions. Access to trails will be subject to operational requirements, weather and snow conditions, and any scheduled race/events.

Coronet Peak and Mt Hutt do not guarantee the operation of First Tracks on any particular day.

If you have already purchased your season pass, please contact our guest services team to add a First Tracks Season Pass to your MyPass Account.

Cancellations, Refunds, and Transfers

Season Passes are non-refundable from the date of the first payment under any circumstances, unless the Pass Protection cover option has been purchased.  All passes are non-transferable. 

Pass protection is your injury/medical cover and provides for full or partial refund of the season pass where an injury, medical condition, or travel ban imposed by regulatory bodies, precludes or significantly limits ability to use the pass throughout the entire season.

Any changes to your credit card details must be advised to NZSki by logging on to your account to change your details, or by phoning us (+64 3 450 1970) at least five working days prior to the instalment due date. This includes notification of new card expiry dates. NZSki will not be responsible for failure by the customer to make payment on the due date for any reason.

How do the Instalment Payments Work?

Instalments are only available on 3 Peak Passes purchased during the Earlybird sales periods, from 1st October 2019 to 31st March 2020. 

By selecting to make payment by the instalment option, the customer hereby agrees to: NZSki Limited (NZSki) retaining the customer's credit card details and automatically charging the customer's credit card in six (if a 3 Peak Pass was purchased in the Super Early Bird sale from 1st October 2019 – 31st October 2019) or three (if a 3 Peak Pass or Mt Hutt Season Pass was purchased in the Early Bird sale from 1st November 2019 - 31st March 2020) instalments.

There is a minimum total purchase amount required for the instalment payment option of $299 per total transaction. The first instalment will be charged at the time of purchase (only available during the Early bird sales periods of 1st October 2019 – 31st March 2020) and the remaining instalments on the following dates. 

During the Super Earlybird period (1st - 31st October 2019) customers can pay for their pass over 6 instalments, with $50 as the initial instalment.  The initial $50 payment constitutes the first instalment.  This payment is subject to all terms and conditions of the instalment program as listed below.

Issue and Collection

Season Passes will not be issued or available for use or collection until full payment of all instalments has been received.

Student Pass

Evidence of full-time enrolment at a New Zealand or Australian learning institution is required at the time of pass collection by presenting your student ID card and proof of full-time status.

I don’t want to pay by instalments, can I pay for my pass in full?

Yes, simply select single payment on the drop down menu and add to cart. 

How do I login to my account?

I had an account last year, why can't I login to that?

From the start of the 2019 season, we required all our guests to register on our new platform.  Much of your information, including mountain stats, will carry over into the new platform, but you may need to add some details and your associates again.

If I pay by instalments, can I pay my pass off quicker?

Yes, please login to your account and select the instalment(s) you wish to pay and follow the prompts to complete payment.

Can I pay by multiple credit cards?

No, there must be a single card for the entire transaction. You are able to login at a later date to update your credit card information. 

I need to update my credit card details, what do I do?

To update your credit card details, you will need to login to your account and update your information, including card expiry dates. You many also call us on 0800 697 547 NZ to provide new details. Please allow 5 working days for these changes to take effect. NZSki will not be responsible for failure by the customer to make payment on the due date for any reason. If any instalment payment is not made e.g. due to the credit card payment being declined or reversed, NZSki reserves the right to charge a default administration fee of $35 per card transaction.

Can I use my $50 voucher from the Spring Shred Challenge towards my 3 Peak Pass?

Congrats on shredding your way to $50 off your 3 Peak Pass for 2020! This voucher will automatically be applied to your pass when you add it to your cart and will appear as a discount off your 3 Peak Pass.

You will need to be logged in to your account and then select yourself in the drop down for the discount voucher to apply.

You cannot use the Spring Shred Challenge $50 voucher as your 1st instalment. This must be paid for with a valid credit or debit card.

3 Peak Pass Private Lesson Discount

If you purchase a 3 Peak Season Pass during the 2020 Earlybird sale you are entitled to a single discounted 2 hour or 3 hour private lesson at Coronet Peak and The Remarkables or Mt Hutt. 2 hour Private Lessons are available for $299 and 3 hour Private Lessons are available for $399. This discount is only available to those who purchase a 3 Peak Pass during the 2020 Earlybird sale, and is a separate offer from any other promotion(s).

Private lessons are subject to availability and we recommend booking a minimum of 48 hours in advance to avoid disappointment. These Private Lesson discounts are only available to Adult, Senior, Student and Child (6-17) age groups, and exclude 5 & under, 75 and over, and Local School Passes. The discount voucher will be uploaded to your MyPass account to be redeemed once only in the 2020 season.
